Musket Transport selected Jasna Kovacevic as the recipient of the 2025 A/Z grant for women. The initiative covers licence training costs at Commercial Heavy Equipment Training (CHET) in Mississauga, Ont.
Drawing from her background in the automotive and truck industry, Kovacevic brings technical knowledge and practical experience to her new career path, according to a news release.
“I believe that trucking is for everyone regardless of gender. You just need to be responsible and reliable,” Kovacevic said in the release. “The open road represents true freedom and endless possibilities for growth.”

Sophia Sniegowski Begidzhanov, corporate communications officer for Musket Transport said, “The grant demonstrates our unwavering commitment to breaking down financial barriers and opening doors to rewarding careers in transportation. Through this initiative, we’re not just providing training – we’re investing in the future of our industry.”
The carrier will launch applications for the next A/Z grant for women on March 8, with a focus on residents of Halton and Hamilton regions who wish to pursue their training at CHET’s Burlington campus.
