Wildfires have destroyed 36,000 acres and more than 10,000 structures, largely in Los Angeles County, as of Friday, Jan. 10, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
CBS News has reported at least 10 fatalities from the wildfires.
Mandatory evacuation orders are in effect for 180,000 residents across Los Angeles County, with additional evacuation warnings issued for other areas.

Wildfires prompted the National Weather Service to issue red flag warnings on Thursday, Jan. 9 and remained in effect for much of Los Angeles and Ventura counties through Friday, Jan. 10.

Los Angeles-area road closures as of Friday, Jan. 10:
- Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) at Las Flores Canyon Road, Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Coastline Drive
- Interstate 210 eastbound from the junction of Interstate 5 to Yarnell Street
- Interstate 210 westbound from Roxford Street to Yarnell Street
- State Route 39 in both directions from 1.6 miles north of Azusa to 6.3 miles south of Coldbrook Ranger Station
- State Route 2 in both directions from 2.2 miles east of Interstate 210 in La Canada-Flintridge to 14.6 miles east of La Canada-Flintridge at Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road
- Interstate 15 northbound from the northbound connector to eastbound Interstate 210 in Rancho Cucamonga
Family assistance centers were scheduled to open on Friday, Jan. 10 to help locate missing individuals while the wildfires continue to burn.
