In what the company called a continuous effort to support and value its drivers, USA Truck announced recently it has launched several pay incentives.
Designed to directly reward drivers for their dedication and safe miles driven, these updated programs reinforce USA Truck’s commitment to providing industry-leading career stability and meaningful financial growth, according to a statement from the company.
The incentive structure features a multi-tiered approach built around two core pillars: a service-based career milestone framework and a mileage-driven productivity incentive. Together, these enhancements replace the company’s previous traditional quarterly and year-end bonus structures with what it said is “a more dynamic, long-term wealth-building model.”
“Our drivers are the backbone of USA Truck, and we want our compensation strategies to reflect the true value of their loyalty and hard work,” said George Henry, CEO of USA Truck. “By restructuring our driver rewards, we are shifting the focus toward building sustainable, long-term financial milestones for our team while continuing to incentivize the consistent performance that keeps our customers moving.”
The program benefits company drivers across multiple operational divisions, including over-the-road, regional, dedicated, and local fleets.
USA Truck said its enhanced driver incentive plan include:
- Mileage-Based Growth Initiative: A continuous productivity incentive that translates dispatched and paid miles into regular, automatic payroll distributions of an additional 5 cents per mile driven. This component ensures that consistent drivers see a direct, recurring return on their daily hard work behind the wheel. No further requirements, drive the miles, get the bonus, according to the company.
- The Career Tenure Framework: A proprietary, company-funded retention structure designed to steadily increase in value the longer a driver remains a part of USA Truck. This program builds long-term value by offering drivers flexible pathways to achieve significant milestone payouts throughout their career progression.
By blending immediate mileage-based rewards with tenure milestones, USA Truck said it “aims to set a new standard for driver satisfaction and retention within the trucking sector.”
The updated programs are effective immediately for eligible active company drivers.
Founded in 1983, USA Truck has 1,800 trucks and 6,000 trailers.
