Louis-Philippe Allard appointed executive director of CargoM

Louis-Phillipe Allard joined CargoM as the organization’s executive director.
Louis-Philippe brings 20 years of experience in operations management, strategic partnership development and organizing large-scale international events, according to a news release.
After holding various roles at the International Economic Forum of the Americas (IEFA) and the organization’s five-city expansion, he joined the team at Finance Montreal in the spring of 2022 to relaunch the redesigned Fintech Canada Forum.
“I’ll be working to maintain and develop the synergy between members, partners, and the various levels of government, which is essential for us to achieve our objectives. The transportation and logistics sector is vital to our communities and crucial to the growth of our metropolis,” Allard said in a news release.
7Gen hires Stroud as senior strategic accounts manager

7Gen announced that Pete Stroud has joined the company as a new strategic accounts manager. The company said in a LinkedIn post that Stroud brings years of experience in the trucking industry and “a knack for building strong, meaningful partnerships.”
With nearly 40 years in operations and leadership from FedEx and PetSmart to Gordon Food Services, Stroud will help the company grow by connecting with key partners and customers in the world of heavy-duty vehicles and large fleets, the company said.
“Whether it’s teaming up with dealers, OEMs, or logistics providers, Pete’s energy and commitment will help us deliver smart, sustainable solutions that make switching to commercial electric vehicles seamless and exciting,” the announcement reads.
NationaLease recognizes Brossard’s Leonard, VEL
NationaLease recognized Jerome Leonard of Brossard NationaLease during its recent two-day 2024 Canadian Leadership Summit in Montreal, Que. VEL NationaLease was also recognized with the distinguished Canadian MVP Award.


Léonard, senior vice-president of Brossard NationaLease, was awarded for his service as he completed his term as a NationaLease board member. Dean Vicha, president of NationaLease, presented the award, acknowledging Léonard’s dedication and lasting contributions to the organization and truck leasing industry.
Meanwhile, VEL NationaLease was named the distinguished Canadian MVP Award recipient for its commitment to industry excellence, innovation, and business resilience, NationaLease said in a news release. Jane Clark, senior vice president of operations at NationaLease, presented the award to VEL NationaLease representatives Kevin Hoyt, Peter Cook, and Murray Dickinson.
Grote promotes Perez-Bolivar

Grote Industries announces the promotion of Cesar Perez-Bolivar to global vice-president of engineering.
Perez-Bolivar has been with Grote Industries for 12 years and has spent the past year leading an operational excellence initiative for Star Safety Technologies by Grote, the company said in a news release. Before the Star assignment, he held various leadership positions in engineering and operations, most recently leading operations at Grote Electronics in Waterloo, Ont.
As global vice-president of engineering, Perez-Bolivar will be responsible for designing, overseeing, and executing engineering processes for the global engineering team. “His experience and leadership will guide the growth of the headlamp, warning and hazard, and networks product portfolios, as well as other innovative new solutions,” the release reads.
IntelliTrans adds Everson to its executive team

IntelliTrans welcomed Matt Everson as a senior vice-president of sales and marketing. In his new role, Everson will lead the company’s sales and marketing teams to accelerate new business growth.
Prior to joining the company, he held leadership roles at Freightwise, Kewill, Oracle, and Infor, where he spearheaded sales and marketing initiatives.
“His visionary leadership, combined with his customer-centric approach and expertise in the TMS domain, positions us well for continued growth. As we deepen our commitment to delivering innovation solutions, Matt’s expertise will help us expand outreach and better serve our customer base,” said Chad Raube, president and chief executive officer of IntelliTrans, in a news release.
