Two truck drivers are celebrating after winning big instant lottery prizes in Ontario.
Colin Caines of Brampton won a $100,000 top prize with Instant Crossword Tripler, while Leslie Mann of Peterborough is $75,000 richer after winning a top prize with Instant Cashboom, according to an OLG release.
Trucker Caines has been playing the lottery for decades. After anxiously keeping the news of his win to himself, he was thrilled to share and celebrate his first big win. “I haven’t said a word to anyone. This has been a big secret for me to keep! I wanted to collect my prize before revealing the news,” he said.

“I played my ticket and noticed I had matched six red words. I’ve never matched that many before,” Caines said. “I pulled out my phone to check my ticket. That’s when I saw the ‘Big Winner’ message on the screen. At first, I didn’t think it was real. I had to scan it three or four times before it sank in!”
When asked about his next steps, he said, “I definitely want to share some of this joy with my kids. I will take care of some responsibilities and invest the rest for the future.”
Truck driver Mann has been playing the lottery for more than 20 years.

“I played my ticket while I was still at the store and instantly knew that I had won,” Mann, a father of three, said. “I couldn’t believe it. I was so surprised and overwhelmed with emotion. Even today, it’s hard to believe!”
He added, “I shared the good news with my family, and everyone, including me, was thrilled.”
With his windfall, Mann looks forward to helping his family and planning a trip to England, or Australia.
