SHREVEPORT, La. — The 318 Restaurant Week runs Sun. Mar 30 through Sat. Apr. 5. KTBS 3 First News anchor Shannon Brinias is exploring what diners can expect by showcasing restaurants, coffee shops and food carts each day this week.
One colorful option for starting out your day is Up for Brunch, a cheerful brunch spot in Shreveport overlooking I-20 located at 1520 Texas Ave.

Maddy Williams is the manager at Up for Brunch and shared more about what makes the yellow-and-white painted shipping container attract big crowds for early morning feasts and libations.
“Well, it’s a local business. We’ve been here about three years and we offer delicious brunch and drinks,” Williams said.
“The setting is kind of like a rustic, modern urban, just bright yellow, brunch spot.”

The artwork on the walls is by Calandra Jones, who is a local artist. The entrance is marked by a faux greenery selfie wall, which gets plenty of use on busy mornings. The spot is popular with bridal shower and birthday parties.
Williams said the diverse, unique food recipes keep the customers coming. The most popular offerings are catfish and grits and French toast. During 318 Restaurant Week, there will be a $10 breakfast plate deal.
In addition to their website, Up for Brunch also posts on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
