Philippine Airlines (PAL) will expand its US footprint with the launch of a nonstop service between Manila and Chicago starting Nov. 9, 2026.
The new route marks the eighth destination for the flag carrier in the United States and its territories. Chicago joins a network that includes Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Guam and Saipan.

The addition of Chicago makes the airline the Southeast Asian carrier with the most expansive network connecting travelers to the US mainland and island territories.
PAL president Richard Nuttall said Chicago is one of the premier hubs in the United States and the entry provides direct connectivity to the Midwest.
“At the same time, serving the Chicago–Manila corridor will create vital links to key regional destinations and major Philippine domestic markets through our Manila hub,” Nuttall said.
The service will operate three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Flights depart Manila in the afternoon and arrive at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport in the afternoon local time. Return services from Chicago operate on the same days, departing in the evening and arriving in Manila in the early morning.
Chicago Department of Aviation commissioner Michael McMurray said the city is proud to welcome the new service on behalf of Mayor Brandon Johnson and the people of Chicago.
“As the busiest airfield in the world and the best-connected airport in the United States, O’Hare International Airport continues to connect Chicago to key international markets, supporting economic growth, tourism, and cultural ties between our regions,” McMurray said.
The airline is offering introductory roundtrip Economy base fares starting at $667 for bookings made from April 16 to May 31, 2026.
The carrier will use Airbus A350-900 aircraft for the route. The service also increases cargo capabilities, allowing shipments to the U.S. Midwest to connect to the broader network of the airline.
The launch follows a wider expansion of trans-Pacific operations. Philippine Airlines will increase flights between Manila and Los Angeles from 14 to 18 per week starting June 1, 2026. Service to Seattle, which currently operates 5 times weekly, will increase to 6 weekly flights in June and July 2026.
The mainland network also includes daily flights to San Francisco and 3 weekly services to New York, along with 5 weekly flights to Honolulu. The airline maintains daily flights to Guam and twice-weekly services to Saipan and Palau.
PAL operates a fleet of Boeing, Airbus and De Havilland aircraft. It runs scheduled nonstop flights from hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark and Davao to 30 destinations in the Philippines and 41 international destinations.
