ColdFront, a distributor for Carrier Transicold in B.C., Alberta, and Saskatchewan, has announced a leadership transition as it enters 2025, with Kevin Johnson stepping back from day-to-day operations and Peter Muench assuming the role of president, effective Jan. 1.
Muench joined ColdFront two years ago as part of a planned succession process and has played an important role in expanding the company’s service capabilities across its locations in Lethbridge, Saskatoon, and affiliate dealer sites, the company said in a news release.
ColdFront added that having previously served as general manager, Muench brings extensive leadership experience, including his tenure as vice-president at Colliers Canada.
“I am very optimistic and excited about ColdFront’s future under Peter’s leadership and Guff Muench’s commitment to long-term family ownership,” said Johnson in a release.
While stepping back from operational duties, Johnson will remain actively involved with ColdFront throughout 2025, serving as an advisor to Muench and as a member of the company’s advisory board. “I look forward to continuing to support Peter and his leadership team and contributing to our shared success in this new capacity,” he added.
