Geotab is expanding its hardware and AI portfolio with a series of product launches aimed at turning telematics data into more actionable fleet intelligence.
Announced at Geotab Connect 2026 in Las Vegas, Nev., the updates include next-generation GO and GO Plus telematics devices, the AI-powered GO Focus Pro dash cam, GO Anywhere family of three asset trackers. All products will be available in North America in Q2 2026, with a global rollout to follow.
The product rollout comes as founder and CEO Neil Cawse said during his keynote on Feb. 11 that telematics has become fleet infrastructure, with artificial intelligence now driving how effectively that infrastructure performs.
ACE is now widely available
Geotab also confirmed that its generative AI assistant, ACE, is now generally available to all customers.
“It’s taken a longer than expected to meet our quality bar, but it’s now smarter, it’s multilingual, and it’s more capable. We’ve taught AI so much more than just fleet data science. It’s now even able to answer your support questions, which actually accounted for 30% of users questions,” Cawse said during the presentation in Las Vegas. He added that ACE is now a multilingual AI platform meant to serve as companies’ own fleet data scientist, a support resource, and a voice-enabled operations assistant.
During live demonstrations, ACE showed geographic reasoning capabilities — identifying which driver was at a specific intersection during a reported speeding incident — and completed that driver’s comparative downtime analysis across multiple cities and time periods. ACE is also embedded into Geotab’s workflow tools.
Mike Branch, Geotab’s vice president of data and analytics, said the company plans to expand ACE’s reach beyond its own platform. By the end of Q1, the company expects to launch a model context protocol (MCP) connector that will allow external AI models — such as Anthropic’s Claude or Google’s Gemini — to securely interact with the Geotab environment.
GO and GO Plus devices
At the core of the launch are Geotab’s redesigned GO and GO Plus devices, built on a new shared hardware architecture designed to process higher volumes of data and support AI-driven applications.
“This next gen device has been engineered with a completely new form factor. It’s more powerful than its predecessor,” Cawse said. It’s more unified with integrated Bluetooth and requires much less hardware to connect to auxiliaries and other data. It’s more reliable with energy reserves that gives you notification if the device is unplugged.”
The standard GO device is made for enhanced insights and connectivity as it is tailored for the latest vehicle architectures to provide deep diagnostics for fuel tracking, engine health, and EV performance. It includes native Bluetooth integration to support driver apps and wireless asset tracking, integrated support for input and output pins to monitor specialized metrics such as power take-off (PTO). A “last gasp” tamper protection feature uses a supercapacitor energy reserve to send alerts if the device is unplugged or tampered with. It is also compatible with Geotab’s GO Focus camera family and IOX add-ons.
Meanwhile, the GO Plus is engineered for more complex operations requiring government grade security and other environments where consistent connectivity is a crucial requirement.
“The GO Plus is our best and most powerful device yet. It has everything its sibling has, but better connectivity, the best security rating — FIPS 140-3, for those that care — and better support for older vehicles. It comes with the best cell coverage and, in the future, the ability to connect to Starlink Direct to Cell,” Cawse said.
The device’s expanded global connectivity enables satellite-ready tracking through select carrier partners to ensure continuous asset visibility in remote areas without the cost of additional hardware, while integrated Wi-Fi hotspot provides high-speed connectivity to ELDs and drivers’ tablets. Native Wi-Fi Client Mode enables automated data uploads at depots with limited cellular coverage.
The device also includes accident reconstruction capability, using a dedicated internal battery to capture five seconds of high-resolution data even if vehicle power is lost during a collision, and is engineered to meet strict government security requirements.
Expanded video telematics
Geotab has expanded its GO Focus video telematics lineup with the launch of the AI-powered GO Focus Pro dash cam, designed to deliver 360-degree visibility and AI-powered predictive risk detection.
The new camera combines 360-degree coverage with real-time in-cab alerts and predictive safety features aimed at reducing collisions and operational risk. According to the company, the launch follows Geotab’s own research in December 2025 that found 99% of commercial drivers see benefits in dash cam and video telematics technology, with 63% citing protection against fraudulent insurance claims and 58% valuing exoneration in collisions.
Geotab said the GO Focus Pro is natively integrated into the MyGeotab platform and supports up to five weatherproof auxiliary cameras, providing coverage of the vehicle, driver, cargo and surrounding environment, including trailers.
The system uses AI to detect traffic-light violations, forward-collision risks and vulnerable road users in blind spots. It also includes real-time audio alerts in the cab to enable immediate driver self-correction, and managers can assign and track coaching sessions directly within the platform.
Additional features include: automated driver scoring to identify repeat infractions and risky behavior patterns, such as mobile phone use or fatigue; smart event sequencing to streamline video review of the most important fleet events; AI-based driver identification using RFID/NFC cards or facial recognition; and a zero-latency backup monitor designed to assist with low-speed maneuvers such as docking and backing.
Asset tracking and satellite connectivity
Geotab also expanded its asset tracking lineup with the GO Anywhere family, including a model equipped with Starlink Direct to Cell connectivity for improved visibility in remote areas.
Purpose built for distinct customer needs and use cases, the new, ruggedized hardware line delivers visibility across trailers and equipment while addressing costly business challenges like lost or underutilized assets. Construction equipment theft alone exceeds $1 billion annually in the U.S., according to industry estimates, Geotab said in a related news release.
The GO Anywhere family includes GO Anywhere Plus, designed for mixed fleets and high-value assets. It uses Starlink Direct to Cell technology to provide coverage in remote areas without dedicated satellite hardware.
GO Anywhere — battery-powered option for non-powered assets such as trailers and equipment — can deliver up to 10 years of battery life and provides hourly location updates, with a high-frequency mode available for theft recovery.
Meanwhile, Small Asset Tracking uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons to track portable tools and equipment through nearby connected assets and geofence alerts.
All devices integrate into the MyGeotab platform, allowing fleets to monitor equipment alongside vehicles in a single system.
Starlink Direct to Cell connectivity will be offered through select carrier partners.
