The Gear Centre Group of Companies is celebrating 50 years as a parts and service provider in Canada.
What started as a small service shop in Edmonton, Alta., in 1975 has grown into a national operation with 31 parts and service centers, three distribution warehouses, and more than 150 specialists and technicians, the company said in a news release.
The Gear Centre Group now operates five divisions, serving a range of industries, including trucking, automotive, and more: Gear Centre Truck & Auto, Gear Centre Off Highway, Hydra-Steer, Pat’s Driveline, and Pat’s Driveline Industrial.

Pat’s Driveline, launched in 1980, focuses on driveshaft services and repairs, while Hydra-Steer, established in 1984, specializes in steering and hydraulic components.
In the 1990s, the company expanded into wholesale distribution and remanufacturing, adding capabilities for reconditioning transmissions, differentials, and transfer cases. The off-highway division opened in 1997 and supports industrial, agricultural, military, and other off-highway applications.
With branches across Alberta, B.C., Ontario, and New Brunswick, the Gear Centre Group services a range of vehicles, from light-duty trucks to Class 8 trucks and off-highway equipment.
