Pilot Company has confirmed the temporary closure of many truck stop locations within the company’s network following the bankruptcy of fuel retailer Mountain Express Oil Co (MEX).
Pilot recently alerted customers to the temporary closure of 19 MEX truck stops within the Pilot network due to the company filing for bankruptcy.
“Mountain Express Oil Co. (MEX) and its affiliates are ceasing operations due to chapter 7 liquidating bankruptcy. As a result, 19 of MEX’s dealer locations within our network are temporarily closed. Pilot Company will continue serving our valued customers at our more than 800 locations across North America,” a Pilot spokesperson told CDLLife.

- Two stores in Minden, Louisiana
- Two stores in Hayti, Missouri
- St. Genevieve, Missouri
- Rockingham, North Carolina
- Seagrove, North Carolina
- Hazelton, Pennsylvania
- Cowpens, South Carolina
- Birmingham, Alabama
- Kansas City, Kansas
- Laplace, Louisiana
- St. Rose, Louisiana
- Monroe, North Carolina
- Williston, North Dakota
- Pine Grove, Pennsylvania
- Grand Forks, North Dakota
It isn’t clear when the shuttered stores will reopen.
