NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department are working to identify a driver who is accused of firing multiple shots at another vehicle last week.
According to police, the incident happened on Monday, Jan. 15 on I-40 West near Demonbreun Street, where a family that was in a Dodge Durango noticed someone in a black Dodge Ram TRX truck following them.
Officials said the driver of the truck, described as a man with braids, eventually pulled in front of the family’s Durango, reversed, and “intentionally struck the driver’s side of the Durango.”
After driving a short distance away, the family told police that the driver of the truck fired “several rounds” toward them as they fled on an off ramp. However, the gunfire did not strike them or their vehicle.
Investigators said the motive for the gunfire is unknown at this time. Anyone with information on the TRX truck or the driver involved is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
