Oscar Mayer is recruiting for its next class of “Hotdoggers” to drive its Wienermobiles around the country for the year.
Here’s what you need to know about who’s eligible to apply and how you can snag one of these roles while they are still hot.
Who is eligible to become a “Hotdogger?”
Oscar Mayer is looking for recent college graduates, who will act as brand ambassadors for Oscar Mayer.
The company is looking for “outgoing, creative, friendly, enthusiastic, graduating college seniors who have an appetite for adventure and are willing to see the country through the windshield of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile,” the company said.
For candidates, having a bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications, advertising or marketing is a plus.
What does the “Hotdogger” role entail?
Each of the 12 drivers selected for the “Hotdogger” position will visit more than 20 states in the hot-dog-shaped vehicle, serve as an official Oscar Mayer spokesperson at company events and travel more than 200,000 miles.
The successful hires will also document their travels on several social media platforms.
But competition is fierce for these roles. In previous years, less than 1% of applicants were selected as part of the one-year fellowship, according to CNN.
What are the perks for the “Hotdogger” role?
The full-time job comes with a competitive salary and all expenses, team apparel and benefits covered by the company, according to the job posting.
How do you apply for the “Hotdogger” role? What’s the deadline to apply?
Potential “Hotdogger” candidates can apply online anytime before Jan. 31, 2023.
