MANTECA, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol is investigating after a semi-truck crashed into a building Thursday afternoon and was found with a gunshot wound.
According to CHP, the call came in around 12:50 p.m. for a big rig that went off the road and into a building on northbound I-5, south of Louise Avenue. Officers then received a call for shots fired.
Upon arrival officers found the driver hit two parked cars before crashing into a building, and that the driver had been shot.
The driver was taken to the hospital in unknown condition. There is no suspect information available yet.
