Two states have reported their activities during the recent International Roadcheck enforcement effort.
Wyoming
During Roadcheck the Wyoming Highway Patrol issued numerous of out-of-service orders for trucks and drivers.
During the 72-hour enforcement effort, WHP conducted 392 inspections statewide, including 243 Level I inspections.

Also, 27 drivers were placed out-of-service for various violations.
Arizona
Over the three-day operation, Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers and officers conducted more than 1,000 commercial vehicle inspections. About one third of the inspected vehicles and/or drivers had violations serious enough to be placed out of service.
Among the most common issues were fictitious logbook entries and broken vehicle parts. Troopers also seized more than 5,200 pounds of marijuana during the operation.
Two public outreach events were held to educate company owners, drivers, and community members about commercial vehicle safety.
International Roadcheck was held in the U.S., Canada and Mexico May 12-14.
Each year, International Roadcheck places special emphasis on a driver violation category and a vehicle violation category to highlight those aspects of an inspection.
The driver focus for this year was on electronic logging device tampering, falsification or manipulation.
This year’s vehicle focus was cargo securement.
Roadcheck is one of several inspection programs staged by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance.
