The annual CVSA International Roadcheck inspection event will take place from May 12–14, 2026, across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Organized by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA), this 72-hour enforcement initiative is considered the largest commercial vehicle inspection event in North America.
During the Roadcheck period, inspectors will conduct thousands of roadside inspections focused on vehicle safety, driver compliance, and federal regulations. This year’s primary focus areas are ELD compliance and cargo securement.
Inspectors will pay close attention to electronic logging devices (ELDs), ensuring drivers are accurately recording Hours of Service data and operating in compliance with regulations. Cargo securement will also be heavily monitored to ensure loads are properly secured and safe for transport.
Drivers and carriers are encouraged to review logs, inspect equipment, and verify that all cargo securement requirements are properly met before hitting the road during the inspection period.
The Roadcheck initiative aims to improve highway safety, reduce violations, and promote compliance across the trucking industry throughout North America.
