Are you interested in pursuing a skill that is needed in virtually every industry and has great earning potential? If so, you might consider signing up for the Logistics Program at Northeast Texas Community College. In just one semester, students earn a micro-credential that can help them obtain employment locally or nationwide. New classes begin this October!
Courses included in the program are: Introduction to Business Logistics, Introduction to Materials Handling, and Warehouse and Distribution Center Management. Classes are completely online, so this is a great option for working adults.
“Our region has many manufacturing and distribution companies that rely on logistics to operate. This is a great opportunity for those who may be in entry level positions who would like to move up or others who would like to expand their knowledge of how logistics keeps industry moving,” Dr. Miles Young, NTCC Dean of Workforce Education, said.
Students can also choose to continue their education for another semester and take three additional business classes to obtain a Business Administration – Logistics Management Certificate.
“Logistics are what keep business moving and these courses will give you a great introduction into this exciting field that impacts our lives every day. This knowledge is applicable to so many fields and this is an excellent opportunity to get a foundation in the general principles of logistics,” Michael Gallaway, NTCC’s Logistics Instructor, said.
