“We are keeping Kyle Stephens in our prayers after he was struck by a vehicle last night on Interstate 81. His company, Stephen’s Towing, has been a wonderful partner to our department and Kyle is well regarded by our deputies. Keep fighting, Kyle.”
Berkeley County Professional Firefighters Local 5045 also issued a statement Thursday morning:
“Working with towing and recovery businesses on a daily basis in the fire service is not uncommon. As a result, it’s just normal to become friends with those guys at and away from work.
Yesterday one of those friends, Kyle Stephens, was involved in a very serious accident. He is currently fighting with everything he’s got. He needs your prayers, and so does his family. Please add Kyle, his family, his friends and his colleagues to your prayer lists.
Stay strong and keep up the fight Kyle!”
Kyle Stephen’s condition is currently unknown at this time.
