
Wallace Bruce “Junior” Walls Jr., 77, of Lewistown, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023, at his home.
Born Aug. 24, 1946, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Bruce W. Walls Sr. and Fay A. (Snyder) Walls.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: a sister, Fay A. Sweitzer; brothers, William Walls and Timothy Hackett; and a nephew, Chris Sweitzer.
Wallace is survived by his sister, Emaline Snyder and husband, William, of Lewistown, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was a graduate of Chief Logan High School and a member of Paintersville Christian and Missionary Alliance (CMA) Church.
Wallace served in the U.S. Army from Jan. 1968 to Jan. 1970, while assigned to the 561st Transportation Company. He was stationed in Vietnam as a heavy vehicle truck driver.
After military service, he hauled scrap for Krentzman’s. He retired from Standard Steel Corporation, Melt Shop, with 37 years of service.
Wallace loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, and crafting. He especially enjoyed fishing trips to Canada and watching Penn State Nittany Lions football.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at Paintersville CMA Church, 3195 Back Maitland Road, Lewistown, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Sherman Stoltzfus officiating.
Interment will take place at Paintersville Cemetery, with military honors provided by VFW Post 7011, Lewistown.
