The annual Arkansas Trucking Association Conference & Vendor Showcase will be Wednesday in Rogers.
The event, which will take place over three days, will begin with networking opportunities at Shadow Valley Country Club and the Rogers Convention Center.
The three-day event will include a reception, educational forums and guest speakers from the University of Arkansas, POLITICO and the American Trucking Associations.
Arkansas Trucking Association President Shannon Newton said the conference serves as a communal gathering for industry leaders to celebrate achievements and imagine innovative solutions to shared concerns.
“The regulatory, political, legal and economic climates will always present challenges for the trucking industry to navigate,” she said in a news release. “Our carriers have experienced a tough few years while continuing to serve Arkansas communities and deliver America’s freight.”
The keynote speaker for the event is Andrew Boyle, chairman of the American Trucking Associations. Boyle is scheduled to speak on the industry’s challenges, including electric vehicle mandates and the threats to the independent contractor model.
