Pune: Three men allegedly beat up a truck driver and robbed him of valuables worth Rs 15,000 on Tuesday near Urse toll plaza on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway.The driver, who sustained injuries in the attack, lodged a complaint with the Pune Rural Police on Thursday.“According to the truck driver, in the wee hours of Wednesday, when he was on his way to Wakad, he stopped at Taje village, suspecting his truck’s tyre had gotten flattened. He was coming from Shil Phata in Thane district,” an officer from the Kamshet police told TOI.“The victim told us that while he was checking the tyre, one person entered his truck’s cabin. Later, two more men came there and thrashed him. The trio robbed the cash and cellphone of the driver and fled. The driver then delivered the consignment, took treatment, and approached us,” the officer added.On Thursday, Pimpri Chinchwad police arrested four men for robbing valuables worth Rs 97,000 from a couple.
