LOWER MERION — A truck driver found himself in a tangled mess after hitting low wires, brining them onto his truck, and then getting trapped inside.
Wednesday night, just before 10:30, crews from the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore responded to the rear of the Ardmore post office on the report of a man trapped inside his tractor-trailer. The truck was covered with wires.
When crews arrived, it was determined that wires from several commercial buildings were on the truck, along with a dozen mail trucks at the post office.
PECO responded as a priority, and the truck and driver were freed in about 45 minutes. There were no injuries. However, officials described the clean-up as extensive.
