Police responded to a report at 4:26 p.m. April 25 of an ice cream truck operating in the area without a permit. Police located the truck and found the driver, a Cleveland man, did not have a permit. He was issued a citation and released.
Drugs, Pearl Road
Police were called to the Hickory Ridge Plaza at 4:45 p.m. April 29 for two men who were experiencing a negative reaction after ingesting THC edibles. The men, residents of Painesville and Ashtabula, were sitting inside a parked vehicle and both appeared to have vomited on the ground outside of the vehicle. The men “were clearly intoxicated,” according to reports, and admitted to consuming THC gummies. Both refused medical treatment and were cited for disorderly conduct. A sober party arrived on scene and took possession of the vehicle
Animal complaint, Westchester Drive
A DoorDash driver reported being bitten by a dog during a delivery at 3:37 p.m. April 25. The driver declined medical attention but requested a report be taken.
Theft, James Drive
A woman reported an unauthorized charge to her Tipico sports gambling account for $1,510. The woman disputed with Tipico and her bank and her account was closed and a new account was opened.
Theft, Old Eagle Drive
A woman reported April 28 that two packages had been stolen from the common area of her apartment building in the past month. The woman contacted USPS and Amazon to recoup her losses. She said she filed the police report for the incidents to be documented as she works with apartment management to find a way to prevent further thefts.
