Kendra Baker / Hearst Connecticut MediaDANBURY — State police are looking for the operator of a white tractor-trailer who evaded the scene of a Sunday evening hit-and-run on eastbound Interstate 84.
The crash happened near Exit 5 shortly after 9 p.m. Oct. 29, when authorities say a tractor-trailer veered from the center lane of the highway into the right lane, striking the rear left side quarter panel of a 2019 Subaru Impreza.
The tractor-trailer did not stop, according to police. The 19-year-old Subaru driver — who was uninjured — could not provide a description of the tractor-trailer’s license plate nor a description of its operator, police said.
State police asked that any witnesses to the crash, or anyone with information regarding it, to call Trooper Fanning Murphy at 203-267-2200.
