Wellsville
— Officers were dispatched on Sept. 19 at 4:13 p.m. to Ninth and Commerce streets in response to a traffic collision. A female involved in the crash, who was pregnant, was transported to the hospital by Life Team EMS when she started experiencing abdominal pain due to the crash.
— Officers were dispatched to Schoub Tower on Sept. 22 at noon for a hit-skip. A female reported that her car had been hit sometime during the night. A vehicle parked in front of hers also appears to have been hit.
Liverpool Township
— An officer was dispatched on Sept. 30 at 12:34 a.m. for a report of traffic cones being hit on state Route 11. The officer along with an officer from St. Clair Township picked up and fixed as many cones as they could.
— An officer conducted a traffic on Parkway Street on Sept. 30 at 10:49 a.m. for expired plates and discovered the driver Richard Heaton, 48, address not provided, had an outstanding warrant. A Columbiana County sheriff deputy stopped at the scene. The officer issued Heaton a citation for the expired plates and transferred him to the sheriff who transported Heaton to jail. First Class Towing towed the vehicle.
— An officer conducted a traffic stop on Boring Lane on Sept. 30 at 11:33 a.m. for a vehicle traveling 46 mph. Mark Hays, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and court date for speed.
— An officer conducted a traffic stop on state Route 7 on Sept. 30 at 11:35 p.m. for a vehicle traveling 80 mph in a 55-mph zone. Austin Hughes, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed.
— An officer conducted a traffic stop on state Route 7 on Oct. 3 at 1:31 a.m. for a vehicle traveling 74 mph in a 55-mph zone. Michel Beaver, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed.
— An officer was dispatched on Oct. 3 at 3:12 a.m. to a possible electrical fire in the 400 block of Seventh Avenue. The officer spoke with the residents who said they were awakened by the smell. The officer went inside where he could smell the odor and see smoke. The officer made sure all residents were out of the house and waited with them for East Liverpool Fire Department to respond. The fire department located the outlet that caught fire and spoke with the residents about not overloading the outlets.
East Liverpool
— An officer responded on Sept. 4 at 10:51 a.m. to a report of criminal damage in the 300 block of Vine Street. A male reported that his pickup truck was vandalized while he was sleeping.
— An officer responded to the 200 block of Wilbert Avenue on Sept. 4 at 6:40 p.m. for a report of two dogs being abandoned by the previous residents. A female told the officer that kids in the neighborhood had been feeding and watering the dogs left in the apartment since the owners haven’t been there in about a month. The Columbiana County dog warden left a 24-hour notice.
— An officer conducted a traffic stop on West Fourth Street after observing two juveniles he had dealt with on previous incidents riding off-road four wheelers on the city streets. The dirt bike and four-wheeler were towed by First Class Towing.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of Riley Avenue on Sept. 4 at 3:33 p.m. for an unknown disturbance. Upon arrival they found the problem had left.
— An officer on Sept. 4 at 11:01 a.m. conducted a traffic stop on state Route 39 on a vehicle with an expired plate. The driver, Solita Patton, 29, address not provided, was discovered to have an outstanding warrant and taken into custody. Patton had a family member come pick up her daughter who was in the vehicle and then she was transported to Columbiana County Jail.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of West Fourth Street to conduct a warrant check on Sept. 4 at 12:24 p.m. The resident at the address said the person they were looking for had not been at the residence since the day before.
— An officer spoke with a female on Sept. 4 at 1:10 a.m. who was calling from a Lincoln Avenue residence to report that her juvenile son was throwing food at his sibling. She was advised this was a parenting issue, not a law enforcement matter. She told the officer she wanted the incident documented.
— An officer responded to the 500 block of Wilbert Avenue on Sept. 4 at 12:42 p.m. to speak with a female who reported juveniles from the 200 block of Wilbert Avenue were harassing her and her children. The officer advised all the juveniles to stay away from each other.
— An officer responded to the 200 block of Thompson Avenue for a report of a loud stereo on Sept. 5 at 3:36 p.m. The music was turned down before the officer arrived.
— An officer responded to the 1200 block of Jennings Avenue on Sept. 5 at 12:44 p.m. for a report of an aggressive Pitbull running loose. Officers spoke with the caller who said the dog had killed two of her pet rabbits. The dog warden was called but was unable to capture the dog.
— An officer spoke to a male on Sept. 5 at 2:07 p.m. who said that he had a vehicle in a garage in the 1100 block of Vine Street, but he wasn’t being allowed to retrieve it. He provided the title and registration of the vehicle showing proof of ownership. The officer spoke with the residents and a date and time for him to get it was arranged.
— An officer conducted a traffic stop on West Eighth Street on Sept. 5 at 2:58 p.m. for a vehicle with expired plates. The driver, whose name, age and address were not provided, was issued a citation.
— An officer responded to the 200 block of West Seventh Street on Sept. 5 at2:24 p.m. for a report of property damage. The female resident said her son was at her house and an argument took place and he kicked the front door in as he was leaving. She said she wanted to file charges.
— An officer spoke to a female on Sept. 5 at 2:42 p.m. who reported that someone in California had used her food stamp card and spent a total of $500.
— A female contacted the police department on Sept. 5 at 9:27 a.m. to report that two dogs which were not her’s were at her residence in the 1100 block of Pope Street. She said one of the dogs bit her on the back of the hand.
