A pickup truck driver was killed after driving off the road into a ditch in Porter County Friday night, according to police.
The fatal solo vehicle accident took place at the intersection of US Highway 20 and County Road 1400 N in Pine Township, Porter County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sgt. Benjamin McFalls said.
The crash took place at about 8:52 p.m. Friday, McFalls said.
“We received a report of a pickup truck that had crashed and rolled over in the area of US Highway 20/County Road 1400 N,” he said. “Initial investigation and witness statement shows that a 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup truck was traveling east on US Highway 20 in the area of CR 1400 N.
