Hyderabad (Telangana):Police in Hyderabad, Telangana, have apprehended a truck driver in connection with a hit-and-run incident following the circulation of a viral video on social media. The driver, identified as Prithviraj, was taken into custody.
The video footage depicts a truck speeding down a busy street with a motorcycle trapped beneath its front wheel, while the rider clings to the side of the truck. Subsequently, the motorcyclist filed a complaint with the police, alleging that the same truck had collided with another car after the initial incident.

The occurrence took place on the evening of April 14. According to reports, Abdul Majeed (60), a local resident, reported to the authorities that on the mentioned date, around 11:45 pm, he was riding his motorcycle from Aramghar to Laxmi Gardens in Champapet. At that moment, a truck recklessly collided with his bike near Laxmi Garden, causing him to fall off the road. Despite the accident, the truck driver did not stop and attempted to flee the scene, while bystanders captured the event on their mobile devices.
Although the rider emerged unscathed, his motorcycle suffered extensive damage from being dragged by the truck. Additionally, it was revealed that the same truck was involved in another collision with a car at Champapet T-Junction. Authorities suspect that overspeeding may have been a contributing factor to the incident.
The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
