The Maine shooter was former commercial truck driver at a recycling company in the state, an investigation has revealed.
Robert Card, the man accused of killing 18 people at a bowling alley and restaurant in Lewiston, Maine last week, was found dead inside of a truck trailer at his former employer, reported Breitbart. Card’s body was discovered inside of a trailer on the company’s property at 7:45 p.m. after the owner of the company contacted law enforcement to request inspection of trailers on adjacent property that officers had failed to investigate.
According to The Washington Post, Card worked for the Maine Recycling Corporation as a commercial truck driver, but left the job voluntarily Spring of 2022.
Police say they also discovered a note Card left for his family explaining how to access his phone, bank account, and other important details of his life, reported CNN.
“It’s a note to a loved one, and it is saying that this is the passcode for my phone, this is the bank account numbers,” said Maine Commissioner of Public Safety Mike Sauschuck.
“I wouldn’t describe it as an explicit suicide note, but the tone and tenor was that the individual was not going to be around and wanted to make sure that this loved one had access to this phone and whatever was in his phone.”
