A Jameson man faces multiple felonies in Daviess County after he allegedly fired a shotgun at an unarmed driver on March 20.
Online court information shows that 44-year-old Sven Rodeen has been charged with second-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon involving shooting at or from a motor vehicle at a person, motor vehicle, or building, and resisting or interfering with an arrest for a felony. Bond was denied.
According to a probable cause statement, Rodeen is accused of standing in the middle of the gravel road in front of his property to confront a concrete truck driver. He reportedly said he had something for the driver, retrieved a shotgun, and grabbed the weapon in a threatening manner.
The driver reportedly put his head down and pulled away. Rodeen allegedly pointed the shotgun at the back of the truck and fired twice as the vehicle drove away. The driver was not hit and did not observe any damage to the truck.
Rodeen is accused of refusing to come out of his house when contacted by members of the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office. A lock had to be forcibly opened to take him into custody.
