Dragonfly Energy introduced its Dragonfly IntelLigence patent-pending technology that provides real-time system monitoring and app-based connectivity, enhancing visibility and control over battery performance for fleets and drivers.
Dragonfly said in a news release that IntelLigence builds on the company’s Battle Born Batteries and offers advanced features tailored to demanding commercial applications. The new system uses a combination of a wireless mesh network and bluetooth connectivity, allowing drivers to monitor battery life, set alerts, and view historical data through the Battle Born mobile app.

The Dragonfly IntelLigence Hub also allows OEMs to transmit battery data through external communication protocols such as RV-C (Recreation Vehicle-CAN), enabling seamless integration with in-cab displays and fleet management systems. This connectivity provides fleets with more comprehensive power management and reduces downtime, according to a news release.
The technology also enhances the performance of the company’s Battle Born All-Electric Auxiliary Power Unit (APU). By providing precise battery monitoring, IntelLigence ensures the system maintains power during rest periods without the need for idling or auto start/stop, promoting driver comfort and efficiency, Dragonfly says.
The Battle Born All-Electric APU with Dragonfly IntelLigence as an optional upgrade is now available to fleets and OEMs, with plans for public availability to owner-operators by the end of 2024. The new solution aims to deliver both operational efficiency and environmental sustainability by reducing unnecessary idling and enhancing control over power usage.
