Upper Chichester Township police have charged a resident with stealing $6,000 in truck tire rims.
According to a police news release, on May 2 police were called to the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. on Keystone Road for the report of the missing rims.
Through investigation, police developed Jeramie Wooters, 45, of Boothwyn section of the township as a suspect, and in June obtained an arrest warrant.
Wooters is a commercial vehicle truck driver who had stopped there prior for service, police said.
On Tuesday, police found and arrested Wooters. He was charged with third-degree felonies of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
Wooters has several other open cases pending. He was arraigned by District Judge James Merkins and held on 10% of $50,000 bail, which he was unable to post and taken to George C. Hill Correctional Facility pending a Nov. 16 preliminary hearing.
