BARTLETT, Ill. (WLS) — Two South Elgin High School students were killed in a crash involving a car and a dump truck that injured three other people in Bartlett Thursday morning, police said.
Bartlett police said they responded to the crash at the intersection of Illinois Route 25 and Kenyon Road between a Honda Civic occupied by four South Elgin High School students and a Mack semi-tractor trailer.
One female passenger from the Honda Civic was pronounced dead at the scene and another female passenger was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The female driver of the Honda and a female passenger along with the male truck driver were transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The School District U-46 Crisis Team has been activated at South Elgin High School.
The Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigative Team is assisting Bartlett police with the investigation.
Illinois Route 25 remains closed between West Bartlett Road and Graham Road.
Further details on the crash were not immediately available.
