24-year-old Ames man dies in crash with semi-truck
An Ames man died early Saturday morning after a collision with a semi-truck.Jacob DeVries, 24, of Ames, was driving north on Northeast 112th Street in Pleasant Hill when he failed to stop at an intersection and struck a semi-truck that was driving east on Highway 163, according to Iowa State Patrol.DeVries died from injuries sustained in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to Iowa State Patrol.The semi-truck driver was not injured.
