

Alexis B. Crutchfield joins Chambliss in estate planning practice
Attorney Alexis B. Crutchfield has joined the Chattanooga law firm of Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel P.C. in the firm’s estate planning practice area.
Crutchfield received a bachelor’s degree from Samford University in 2017 before continuing her education at the Howard University School of Law, where she served as a student attorney for the school’s Child Welfare Clinic. Crutchfield is a member of the S.L. Hutchins, Chattanooga and Tennessee Bar associations. She is also a member of the American Inns of Court, Brock-Cooper Chapter and a board member for the Chattanooga Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, where she received the Service of the Year Award in 2022.
Crutchfield frequently assists clients with a variety of estate planning matters, including drafting wills, trusts and powers of attorney, and petitioning for conservatorship.
“Alexis is a valuable asset to the group and her clients because of the way she approaches each matter with genuine compassion and discernment,” Mark Cunningham, president and managing shareholder of the Chambliss law firm said in an announcement of her appointment. “Her experience makes her a strong advocate for all those she represents, and we’re lucky to have her on our estate planning team.”
Moore joins board for Women of Trucking
Sharae Moore, founder and president of the nonprofit She Trucking Foundation, has been named to the Women of Trucking Advisory Board for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
A professional truck driver, Moore has been driving since 2014. She leads a Facebook community of more than 30,000 professional minority women in the transportation industry.
CNN selected Moore as a Champion for Change. Additionally, she was chosen as a Legend Driver by National Truckin’ magazine and received the Trucking Industry Trailblazer Award for Diversity and Inclusion.
Moore authored “Building a Legacy: How I Create a Life-Changing Legacy in the Trucking Industry.” She advocates for bringing more women and minorities into the transportation industry.

Barking Legs selects 6 artists for incubator
Barking Legs Theater has chosen six performance artist groups for its Incubator residency program.
The artists will spend the next few months workshopping transdisciplinary, original performance art works using free rehearsal time in the Barking Legs Theater space, along with mentorship and marketing support along with a production stipend. The Verified Incubator Performances will occur the first three Mondays of November as part of the 30th anniversary celebration of Barking Legs.
The artist selected for the performances include:
— Donnie Marsh, Ashley Saturday, et al. will present a comedy showcase about growing up in church titled “Amen Cul de Sac.”
— Monica Ellison, Tanqueray Harper and Zoey Chatman will perform a dance piece about youth, legacy, motherhood and the balancing act of life.
— Moll King will perform original spoken word poetry that showcases the current state of the city’s housing crisis combined with the “ethics and values” of Christianity vs. the actual words of Christ.
— Marek Krawcyzk has a mixed media project about loneliness and isolation due to the pandemic.
— Novek Newi, Arche Twitty, Oninye Nafree, Fallon Clark, Kenneth Glatt, Kyree Brown, N’nako Kande and Zoe Valentina are combining dance and spoken word with an overall theme of “Who is your Avatar?”
— Charlene Hong White will create and perform an original play about growing up as an Asian-American in white America with other people of color cast in the roles.
