The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s annual Human Trafficking Awareness Initiative is scheduled to take place in the United States from Jan. 12-16.
The five-day event aims to educate commercial motor vehicle drivers, motor carriers, law enforcement officers, and the general public about the crime of human trafficking. In Canada, the Human Trafficking Awareness Initiative will take place Feb. 23-27. In Mexico, the initiative is scheduled for March 16-20.

Statistics show that as many as 24.9 million men, women, and children have been sold into prostitution, domestic servitude, or other forced labor around the globe.
“As commercial motor vehicle drivers and inspectors are on our roadways every day, and oftentimes, the individuals committing the crime of human trafficking are using our roadways to do so,” CVSA said. “That’s why awareness is critical. Knowing what to look for and how to respond is essential.”
During the 2025 initiatives, CVSA worked with Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) to distribute 41,102 wallet cards, 17,033 window decals, and 2,468 posters across North America to educate people about the dangers and signs of human trafficking.
