A truck driver who became trapped after crashing into a home has given bystanders the thumbs up as emergency crews pulled him from the wreckage.
The driver swerved into a building on the corner of Forest Road and Mimosa Street at Bexley, in Sydney’s south, on Wednesday morning causing major structural damage.
Part of the roof collapsed and bricks came loose, falling onto the windscreen of the truck.
It is believed the man driving the truck lost control after suffering a medical episode behind the wheel.

Images from the scene showed the truck buried in debris.
Firefighters, ambulance staff, police and an engineer all attended the scene.
More than 20 firefighters have been working for more than an hour to free the man.
The extent of his injuries are still unknown, but he is conscious and in a stable condition.
A family-of-four has been safely evacuated from the house with no injuries.
Some internal walls have been removed, according to Fire Rescue NSW.
Crews have isolated power to the home after live lines fell onto the wreckage.
The stability of the structure will continue to be monitored.
Forest Road is closed in both directions.
Motorists heading eastbound are being diverted to St Georges Road and westbound via Mimosa Street.
