A truck driver died in a crash between multiple semitrucks that resulted in a nearly 11-hour interstate closure.The crash happened just before 1 a.m. early Tuesday on Interstate 65 at the Glendale exit in Hardin County. Hardin County Sheriff’s Department said three semis were involved. They said the first one was in the slow lane and didn’t see a traffic backup from the Glendale roadway construction project. Officials said the truck hit a second semi, which then hit a third semi in a chain-reaction crash.The first and second trucks both caught fire, the sheriff’s office said.They said the person who died was the driver of the first truck. His wife was injured, and flown to UofL Hospital.The driver of the second truck was taken by ambulance to Baptist Health with injuries, and the driver of the third truck was not injured.All lanes were open again around noon.
