Today started like any other delivery… until another driver walked over and asked,
“What’s wrong with your wheel?”
I looked down and couldn’t believe what I was seeing. The rim was literally coming apart.
Luckily I caught it before getting back on the highway. Southern Tire came out with a new rim and tire, but it still turned into an expensive day that wiped out the profit from the load.
If you’re a truck driver, don’t skip your pre-trip inspections. Sometimes problems show up that you never expect.
