Manitoulin Transport has expanded its Atlantic Canada footprint with the opening of a new 23,000 sq.-ft. terminal in Moncton, N.B.
Located at 200 Babineau Blvd. E., the facility features 22 dock doors and will serve as a regional hub connecting the Maritimes to the carrier’s national network, Manitoulin said in a release. The company added the investment is aimed at improving transit times, increasing direct service points, and enhancing overall customer support in the region.
“Moncton is a vital economic gateway for Atlantic Canada and our new terminal is a direct response to the needs of our customers in that region,” said Jeff King, president of Manitoulin Transport. “This expansion will allow us to provide faster transit times, increased direct service points, and improved customer service.”
The Gore Bay, Ont.-based carrier operates 85 terminals nationwide and provides less-than-truckload, truckload, cross-border, intermodal, private fleet, temperature-controlled, and supply-chain services.
The Moncton terminal represents the latest in a series of network investments as Manitoulin continues to strengthen its direct-service capabilities across Canada.
