MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – Update: The Midland County Sheriff’s Office has cleared the blue truck from being involved in the incident, according to a post by Crime Stoppers. The investigation remains ongoing.
The Midland County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding a “person of interest” in the death of an 18-wheel truck driver.
According to a release from MCSO, between 9am and 11am on Sunday, May 12, deputies responded to the 10400 block of W Interstate 20, referencing a medical call. After arriving at the scene, a dead male who suffered from a gunshot wound was found laying on the ground outside his semi-truck.
Further investigation revealed video footage of a dark-colored Dodge single-cab dually pickup truck, possibly blue in color, which was seen in the area at the time of the incident.
Midland County Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of the truck, so he can be questioned as a person of interest.
