The driver of a U-Haul truck was hospitalized after a bizarre high-speed chase through Alexandria, the Virginia State Police said.
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. when police on I-395 reportedly saw the truck going 96 mph in a 55 mph zone.
The truck reportedly sped away, taking exit 3 onto Duke Street, and then getting back on to southbound I-395.
The driver pulled the U-Haul to the shoulder where a woman and child exited the vehicle. Troopers detained the driver afterward, who was transported to the hospital for medical evaluation.
