Truck kills man, driver arrested

Chandigarh: A 55-year-old man was killed after being hit by a truck at Sector 26 grain market. On the statement of the victim’s son, Sector 26 police arrested the truck driver under the relevant sections of IPC. The victim has been identified as Megh Raj, a resident of New Indira colony, Manimajra. In his complaint, Megh Raj’s son Udaypal said the truck was being driven rashly when it hit his father at Sector 26 on May 5.
