CONCORDIA PARISH, La. (KNOE) – A truck driver has been arrested after an investigation with the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crime Unit that began in January 2023. CPSO says the investigation began after the man used multiple accounts and platforms to solicit minors for sex.
Officials say Albert Douglas Bingham, 48, a Canadian citizen, was positively identified and an arrest warrant was entered into the National Crime Information Center. CPSO says Bingham took multiple steps trying to conceal his identity. They say he used false names and locations, stating he was a truck driver from Texas who traveled through Louisiana frequently.
The investigation revealed that Bingham engaged in lewd dialogue with minors for months and made plans to meet them when passing through the state.
In April 2024, detectives received information from Canadian Customs Agents saying Bingham was boarding a plane heading to the United States. When he landed, he was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Concordia Parish Jail.
Bingham was arrested for computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with juveniles.
