One vehicle crash
CENTRE HALL — The driver of a 2018 Ford Explorer was not injured after a one vehicle crash along General Potter Highway, Potter Township, Centre County on Dec. 1, state police at Rockview said.
Dane M. Reed, 32, of State College, was traveling was on the roadway at 8:23 a.m. when he fell asleep, causing his vehicle to strike a concrete wall off the left side of the roadway, police said.
Reed was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and was cited for careless driving, police said.
The vehicle was towed from the scene by Gray’s Towing.
DUI alleged
BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview arrested a 53-year-old Altoona man after reports of an erratic driver in Benner Township at 1:32 p.m. on Dec. 3
Police were called to the area of Interstate 99 for the report and located a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado with the driver, name not listed, who was subsequently arrested, police said.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Hit and run
BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview are looking for a vehicle involved in a hit and run along South Eagle Valley Road in Boggs Township, Centre County on Dec. 3.
Brian M. McHugh, 63, of Milesburg, was traveling north on the roadway near Summer Mac Drive when another vehicle traveling south crossed into his lane and struck his 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander, police said.
McHugh stopped his vehicle on the right side of the roadway while the other vehicle continued to travel south, police said.
Road debris found at the scene indicated the vehicle is a Ford brand that has a chrome fender with partial damage to its driver’s side as result of the crash, police said.
Other debris from the Ford’s driver’s side mirror was also found at the scene with police believing it to be a pickup truck, police said.
McHugh was not injured as a result of the crash and was wearing his seatbelt, police said.

Found firearm
LOCKPORT — A large caliber hunting rifle was found on Cider Press Road just prior to its intersection with Coudersport Pike in Woodward Township on Dec. 2, Woodward Township Police said.
The firearm may be claimed at the police department, police said.
