First Bakers UMC to host Bible study
LEWISTOWN — First Bakers United Methodist Church will host a Bible study every Wednesday at 7 p.m. The church will also host a youth group for individuals under age 18 on the first Thursday of each month, except July.

We are collecting nonperishable food for Harvest Home. Please bring in your items and place them underneath our thanksgiving tree in the front of the sanctuary. All donations will go to the Juniata County Food Pantry.
The Annual Holiday Bazaar at Trinity is today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Turkey pies, homemade mince meat, mixed pickle, cranberry relish, assorted pies, soups and crafts will be on sale. The lunch stand will include turkey pies, soups, barbecue, hot dogs, pies and drinks.
Hunters Sunday is Nov. 19 at 9 a.m. Join us for a special service as we pray for all hunters, a safe season and give thanks to God for the beauty of Creation. All are welcome to bring taxidermied animals, skins or pictures to share in a display during social time. All are invited to wear hunting camo and/or blaze orange.

HHHO Food giveaway
BEAVERTOWN — The Helping Hands, Helping Others, Inc. food giveaway will be held at 11:00 a.m. on the third Tuesday of the month at Beaver Lutheran Church, Rt. 522 at the west end of Beavertown. You must enter the rear of the church by Gross Rd. across from Boonie’s in Beavertown. The road to the rear of the church will be blocked until 11:30 a.m., or until the truck supplying the food giveaway unloads. Once the road to the rear of the church is opened, you will be directed to park your car. You must then line up in front of the pavilion at the end of the parking lot. You will be able to select the foods you want. Volunteers will still not be asking for income limits, but will ask for your name and contact information. You may bring boxes or bags. Divorce Care and Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K)
BELLEVILLE — Divorce Care for adults and DC4K (Divorce Care for Kids) kicked off on Sept. 11 at New Life Church, 101 N. Beech St. in Burnham and at Locust Grove Church at 3358 W. Main St. in Belleville. The Divorce Care programs runs in conjunction with Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K). In Burnham, parents attending Divorce Care at New Life Church are invited to enroll their children in Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K) there while families attending the Belleville group will enroll their children at Locust Grove. Registration can be done in advance by telephone.
DC4K is a student support group for children ages 5 years – 12 years whose families are experiencing separation/divorce. At DC4K, kids are engaged in crafts, games, activities, DVD dramas, and music. The program is scheduled to run through Dec. 11, 2023, and will feature small groups.
DC (Divorce Care) for adults is a divorce support group that meets weekly to help adults recover from the pain of separation and divorce. Participants experience a warm, caring environment led by people who care and want to help attendees find healing and wholeness in the midst of their circumstances.

Holiday bazaar at Rhodes Memorial UMC
LEWISTOWN — The Holiday bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 18 at Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church, 500 Highland Ave. in Lewistown. Christmas Carol sing at Beavertown UMC
BEAVERTOWN — Enjoy the Annual Christmas Carol sing being held at Beavertown United Methodist Church on Dec. 10 beginning at 7 p.m. The congregational carol sing will be interspersed with stories and conclude with a candle lighting to Silent Night. Pastor Kathy Mercado will offer blessings. Refreshments will follow the program. All are invited to attend. The church is located at 124 N. Orange St. in Beavertown.
Christmas Cantata at Messiah Lutheran Church
MIFFLINTOWN — A community Christmas Cantata will be performed at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 3 S. Third St. in Mifflintown. This year’s cantata/musical is Bethlehem’s Child, songs and stories of His Birth by Victor C. Johnson and Lloyd Larson. The public performance will be free of an admission charge. A freewill offering will be collected to benefit the Juniata County Food Pantry.
