1 killed in Hinds County crash involving 18-wheeler
A truck driver was killed in a Hinds County crash.The wreck took place about 11 a.m. Friday on Interstate 20 westbound, near Highway 22 past Edwards. Edwards police Chief Terence Crump said the driver of an 18-wheeler hit a car that was parked on the shoulder of the interstate. The semitrailer burst into flames, killing the truck driver, police said. The Mississippi Highway Patrol said before 1 p.m. that one lane was open, but drivers should expect delays as workers clear the scene.
