A 23-year-old Bucks County man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Monday in Upper Bucks, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Owen G. Orser, of Perkasie, was driving north about 4 a.m. through the 1700 block of Richlandtown Pike, south of Keystone Drive, in Springfield Township when he lost control on a righthand curve, police said. The 1999 Volkswagen Jetta he was driving traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
Orser had been driving too fast for conditions and was not wearing his seat belt, investigators determined, according to a news release from state police at Dublin.
He was taken by Upper Bucks Regional EMS with serious injuries to St. Luke’s Upper Bucks Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
Orser graduated from Pennridge High School and from Upper Bucks County Technical High School in 2019, worked as a diesel technician at Bergey Truck Center for three years, then earned his commercial driver’s license and worked as a short-haul dump truck driver at EDP, according to his obituary.
