Ayron Thelen
A truck driver who ran a stop sign in Isabella County in November, killing a Weidman man, has been charged with a misdemeanor.
Foster Dennis Boshans, 49, of Saginaw is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 6 at 9:15 in Magistrate Aaron W. Miller’s Mt. Pleasant hearing room after Isabella County Prosecutor David Barberi charged him Wednesday with a moving violation causing death, a one-year misdemeanor.
Boshans is accused of killing Ayron Thelen, 31, of Weidman Nov. 9 when he drove through a stop sign at Coldwater and Drew roads, hitting Thelen’s car.
Thelen was on his way to pick up his sons from daycare when Boshans’ semi hit his southbound vehicle, according to previous reports.
Isabella County Sheriff’s deputies determined Boshans was driving eastbound on Drew Road and failed to stop at Coldwater Road.
Boshans, who was taken to a hospital for medical evaluation after the crash, was convicted in June 2001 of fourth degree criminal sexual conduct in Charlevoix County.
