A tow truck driver was killed in a hit-and-run on the Parkway West late Wednesday night, according to Trooper Rocco Gagliardi with the Pennsylvania State Police. The driver killed was Husam Shuibat, who died at the scene. Troopers confirmed Shuibat was in the process of towing a vehicle. Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 observed the body of Shuibat lying next to the tow truck’s driver side door, and observed a red sedan on the truck’s flatbed. Troopers said they used witness statements and investigative measures to track down the car involved. They’ve taken the driver for a blood draw and further interviews.The driver is a man in his early 20s, state police said. His name has not been released as the investigation continues.
